I talked Nate into taking off work today (it didn't take too much convincing). We drove about 35 minutes to a mall. In the almost 9 months that we have been here, we have not been to a single mall. We've done some shopping, but most of it has been online. It was nice to just go into different stores and look around. I say look around because neither of really bought much of anything. I did buy a nice long coat. I still love the Lands End pink coat, but I definitely needed a long warm coat for days like the picture above!!!
As we were chatting on the way home, we both realized that we may be getting this living in Europe thing. We ate at a bakery in the food court (we passed up Burger King, Subway, and Pizza Hut), we went into shops that we would NEVER have gone in six months ago for fear that the sales lady would try to talk to us in German, and we were able to semi-understand a map in a large department store (WC, kinder, damen, and herren). Month by month life is getting easier and easier.
