Recorder Karate

Click here to hear Ethan's recorder performance.  His music teacher started Recorder Karate.  Each time the student masters a song, they get a colored ribbon on their recorder.....like a karate belt!  He has worked so hard and received four belts.  He was super excited about that, but he was even more excited that he has "more belts than anyone in the whole school."  This has also created a standstill.  He has pretty much quit practicing.  We need someone to catch up to him!

Ethan has been SUPER lovey this week....which is highly unusual for him, but I will take it!

He was able to swim during Link's swim lesson today because he didn't have basketball practice.
I asked him to please check in with me after three turns on the slide.  He said, "Like the library?"  I said, "Huh???"  He said, "Well let's say after three slides it's like I finished a book.  Then, I come to you to check out another one."  "Ughhh sure, sweetie."

Face to Face

Lincoln was taking a shower.  He stopped the shower and opened the door.  Then, he called me over to the shower.  He says, "Mom, I don't mean to be mean, but Dad's birthday is the specialest because his is New Year's Day."  Thinking that he was just wanting me to hand him a towel, I say, "Ok, well you didn't rinse off.  Get back in there and rinse off."  Lincoln says to me, "Oh, I know!  I wasn't finished.  I just wanted to tell you face to face so it wouldn't hurt your feelings."

Christmas

Santa came while we were on our cruise.  The boys sprinted inside to see what he brought them!
It was a LEGO Christmas for them both!
The boys spent their own money at the school store buying gifts for us.
Lincoln got me a really cute bracelet.
Nate received his second bouncy ball!
Ethan got him ANOTHER one this year because last year's ball was such a hit!
Marilyn sent them A LOT of costumes!  Thank goodness!  Our batman costume was way too small!
Thank you Grandparents again for spoiling these boys!
 We had a great Christmas!
