I was the only girl out of five guys this weekend!  It was a good weekend.  The sports talk was at a  minimum and one night I even got a break as the four guys went for dessert in the hotel restaurant.
The little boys cold NOT keep out of the snow on Sunday.  As you can see here, Nate is getting on to Ethan for getting in the snow.  I think Nate told Ethan no less than 50 times to get out of the snow.  Sunday evening he had to wear sweats to dinner because his pants were so wet from the snow.
Here Lincoln told me to get a picture of him under the snow and
hopefully the snow would fall on his head.
I just caught him standing knee deep in the snow.
That evil grin is because he got out before I could yell at him!
In hindsight, I should have put snow pants on them!

Exploring Bavaria

On Sunday, we went out into the winter wonderland and explored with Shane and Doug.
Our first stop was Linderhof Palace.  The boys and I have been here two other times.
It's a great place to visit while in Garmisch.
This place is gorgeous in the summer and the winter.
 King Ludwig loved swans.
We headed to Oberammergau for lunch.  We walked by and saw the woodworkers' house.
The hedge maze in the back was a little short for Ethan!
Shane told us that we had to see the Weiskirche.  It was gorgeous!  My inside pictures didn't turn out, but the alter piece was very interesting.
It was fun driving around all day in the beautiful snow!!!
This was our view from our room.
Garmisch is always a good idea, but it is so spectacular in the winter!

Ski School

The boys and I went to ski school on Saturday in Garmisch.
Ethan picked it up pretty quickly and really had fun!
I was able to sit by Ethan at lunch.  He was so happy and hungry!
He ate an adult size schnitzel and fries for lunch!
I saw Link right after lunch and he had big tears in his eyes.  He was trying to be brave, but he was not having fun.  Once class was over at 2:30, we took a break with Nate and Shane.  We sat for about 45 minutes.  The boys and I went back to the kiddie slope and both boys gave it another go.  Link was so happy.  When Nate came by to get us, Link said he enjoyed skiing by himself and that he didn't like the education part!  :)

Ethan and I celebrated that I didn't break a leg!
We were all exhausted and sore!!!  We enjoyed getting those snow boots off and relaxing!

Ethan had his first basketball game of the season.  The game was so much fun.  His team had a little lead through the first three quarters.  It wasn't until the last quarter that their opponents took the lead by one point!  It was a nail biter!  I think the parents had more fun than the boys!
Those stands got loud!
