The party

Jaden, Rachel, and Joe came over for dinner and some playing. Lincoln talked about them coming all day. He kept asking when the party was going to start. Jaden and Ethan did some running on the Wii.
They were hilarious!

Lincoln had so much fun playing with everyone...including his little Daddy!

Date night

Nate and I found a babysitter on sittercity.com this week. We tried her out Friday night so that Nate and I could go out! Her name is Mandi and she is going to school in the fall to be a Speech/Language Pathologist. How bad can she be, right! She was great! The fellas had a great time!
They enjoyed a bath and waffles for dinner before she got here! I didn't think the order very well. That's why Link is wearing a bib!
Nate and I went to a seafood restaurant and got cupcakes in Georgetown. We were done by 8:00 but too embarrassed to go home that early. We are getting so old. We ended up at Dick's getting some running shorts for Nate!

Traitors

These little traitors have abandoned the Mommy ship and jumped over to the Daddy boat! Nate was bugging me tonight and I said, "Ethan tell your Daddy to leave me alone." He says, "I can't...I love him!"

Sunday Photos

I can not tell you how nice it was to sit by my husband at church today! It was also so nice to have him in our Sunday photos!!!

Fishing

One of the kids at Ethan's school went fishing with his Dad last week. Ever since then, Ethan has been talking about Nate taking him fishing. Nate got the boys fishing poles, and we went fishing today.
We are going to chalk this one up to a "practice" run. We had to find our own worms and one of our reels bummed out on us. We had a few bites, but no fish!

Lincoln held the rod for about ten seconds and then started finding sticks and rocks to throw in the water. I don't think he helped our effort.

Daddy's HOME!!!

His flight was delayed SIX times! We waited for him at the airport for FOUR hours, but it was totally worth it!! He's here. He's here! He's HERE!

Helper

Ethan has been a huge help this weekend. When I told him that we needed to clean up today, he started cleaning up immediately. When I told him we needed to start dinner, he helped get the plates set up. When I told him it was time for baths, he was ready to jump in. Lincoln is a WHOLE other story. If I told him to come eat a bag of candy, he ran the opposite direction. If I told him I had a brand new box of toys for him, he jumped on the box of destroyed it! (This didn't actually happen....but you get the point!)
We did have a lot of fun putting puzzles together!!!

AIR SHOW!!!!

I MAY HAVE TO SHOUT THE ENTIRE POST BECAUSE MY HEARING MAY BE PERMANTELY IMPAIRED. THE AIR SHOW WAS SUPER DUPER LOUD!!!!
Ethan had the hardest time today. He could barely eat because he kept covering his ears!
Lincoln could of cared less. He was more interested in what battles Obi-Wan and the Storm trouper were fighting.

Aaron was a trouper today! He was up LATE for naps and didn't even fuss while we were there.

I did not put enough sunscreen on this fair boy. His cheeks and neck are so burned!

Sharing some love and germs!

Link is not feeling well. I am not sure if he has a cold or if it is just allergies. From the look of this picture....let's hope it's just allergies!

Pirates, Star Wars, and Wild Things

Scene: The boys were playing on the dining room table. The Stars Wars men were in the pirate ship. Darth Vader was standing outside the ship. Ethan says, "Please don't go. We'll eat you up!"
For those of you who don't know....this is a line from Where the Wild Things Are.

Fun in the Sun

We spent a lot of time with the Hills out in the sun! Friday we went to a playground that had a great sandbox. Aaron and Ethan enjoyed the seesaw.
Lincoln spent almost all of the time in the sand box. I barely got this shot of him.

Saturday we took our first visit of the season to Six Flags Amusement Park. The Hills joined us and got season passes as well! I can't wait until Nate comes home and we can go again!
Today, Justin cooked us Mother's Day brunch. It was delicious!!!

I have nothing to post today except for just pure cuteness!!

The art of present opening.

By Saturday, I felt like Lincoln had made (in IEP terms) sufficient progress on present opening. He even opened a card! He usually opens one (maybe two) gifts and wants to play with them forever. We end up coaxing him to open just one more!

This year he made it through all the gifts! I am wondering if it was because he opened the gifts around nap time! He may have been too tired to run around playing with them! Regardless of the reason, I'll take it!

Sucking on her toes!

When I found out that Marsha and Bob were staying until Sunday night, I asked Jenn if she wanted to do church, lunch, and fish pedicures. She said yes and then told me yesterday she had a nightmare that the fish were in a muddy pond and were eating her toes! This blog really needs audio! I wish you could hear the giggly squeals coming from Jennifer! I had no idea she was so ticklish!
She kept looking at the timer anxiously awaiting for it to be over. BUT...the best part came when she said....I should bring my mother! HA!

Pirate Pegleg Lincoln's b/day party!

I can't say that the party went off without a hitch. We planned on having the party at the local playground, but someone had claimed the playground before we did! SO, we moved the party to our house and our neighborhood playground.
The kids had pirate hats, swords, eye patches and a map! I made the boys pirate shirts! Lincoln went into pirate mode quickly!
Ethan decided he would rather play soccer!
It was super hot out so, we headed inside for pizza and cake! This cake was amazing! Some people actually thought it was a toy!
Lincoln loved it!

After cake, the kids decided to head back to the playground!
They played for bit, but again it got HOT!
We headed back for presents. I have to say he got some great gifts!!! I was very impressed that we didn't he didn't get anything he already had!
Link and Aja had a little bonding time while everyone played a pirate game!
After a full day of playing, the boys took a 2 1/2 hour nap! We had to wake them up! I think the party was a hit!!!!
