Schools out for summer....schools out forever!

Wow...it still hasn't hit me that I am done with work in Ohio. I think that I am still in denial. I am really going to miss it...ok maybe just Molly :) and lunch.I think Nate and I are also in shock that the house sold and we don't have to keep it as clean as it was. For those of you you have been over the past few months, I am showing you how it did not last. Nate is still in the cleaning mode...I think he always will, but he has let some things slip.
We have been sooooo busy this week...doctors, errands, and starting our fun summer activities. We bought the "pirate ship" when Ethan was about 18 months. Ethan will only get on it when the neighbor kids come over. He enjoys it, but nothing like Lincoln. He loves it! We are finally getting our money worth.
We went to IKEA today. We ran into a neighbor and it was her birthday. Her husband took her for fun. He woke her up and said, "Honey, today I am taking you to the mothership." What a great way to describe IKEA. I love it! I think Nate loved it, too. Tonight, we went with the Cerm's to the waterpark. Last year, they told us on a weekly bases how much fun it was. Words really couldn't describe it enough. It was great! They may regret inviting us. I think we will be there as much as them! Needless to say...we have worn these boys out this week. Ethan slept until 8:30 and we had to wake Linky up at 9:00. I love summer!!!

Sale Pending

We accepted an offer on our house this week. YEAH! We are also able to stay in the house until it's time for us to move to Virginia. Nate and I went this week to check out daycare. We found one that we liked. The boys stayed at Nate's parents and were spoiled. They had a great time. Lincoln did really good overnight. I was relieved!
I got a call tonight that my school caught on fire Saturday. It looks like I will not have to go this week. I have to check in at the High School Tuesday morning, but the kids are not coming and we are not allowed in the building....interesting :)
Hope you all have a great week!

Ethan loved riding the tractor with Pappy.

MeMaw has beautiful flower beds.

The boys love ice cream.

Nate loves soft serve with sprinkles.

two more to go!

TWO MORE WEEKS of school....but only five working days for me! We are leaving Wednesday after work to go to Nate's parents. Nate and I are heading to DC on Thursday morning. We found a townhome in Alexandria that "seems" almost to good to be true. We will look at is Thursday at lunch. It's bigger than our place here, inside the beltway, very close to Alexandria city (where I will work), and the best part is that it backs up to an 85 acre park! It has four playgrounds! Ethan is sooo excited to see MeMaw and Pappy. He told me before bed, "only two more days to MeMaws." I told him we were going to be there for four days and he said, "well maybe we should stay five days." He is always negotiating something!
I know we should of started this sooner, but this week we started brushing Lincoln's teeth. He LOVES it! I have to actually write this down because Ethan never liked it. He still doesn't. Lincoln screams when I take the toothbrush away. He also has the word, "No" down. He will crawl to his usual NO spots (cords, doors, toilet paper), shake his head, and say "nununu." Then he laughs and does it anyway! STINKER!
With all the stress that goes with selling a house, finding a house, moving two little boys, finishing a PHD, ending a job that you've had for six years, and some recent health scares, this verse has been repeated over and over in my head this week. I thought I would pass it on! So I hope that we all can be anxious for nothing!

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phillipians 4: 4-7

Peace

Mother's Day Weekend

We had a great weekend. I know we should not be happy about this, but we did not have any showings this weekend. It was so nice!
Ethan took Sammy the Bear home this weekend from school. Sammy is supposed to be with your family and then on Monday you are supposed to tell the class what Sammy did. I had this great idea that we would take Sammy with us to the mall Friday night. I took my camera and I thought I would take pictures of Ethan and Sammy together and then print them out for school. (brownie points with the teacher) BUT, Saturday night I was telling Mar about this and thought....where is good ole Sammy? Then, I realized he was on the rides at the mall! PANIC---SO, Sunday after church, we went to the mall and THANK GOODNESS---he was at lost and found!
I had a great Mother's Day weekend. I did some painting, we worked a little in the yard, the boys played together, and Nate got me a GORGEOUS diamond necklace! It was so nice and relaxing this weekend. Oh if it was just a little longer!
Hope you all have a GREAT week!

He's into EVERYTHING

These two pictures were taken within THREE minutes of each other. The one with the cups happened WHILE I was cleaning the toilet paper up. He had a fun this morning!

The first week of May!

This blog is going to be a hodgepodge of events and stories of this past week. I'll start with a funny story. Ethan has wiggle bottom syndrome. He CAN NOT sit on his bottom in his chair at dinner. Nate tells him on average 20 times a day to sit on your bottom. Nate told him in a louder than normal voice :) to sit down and Ethan looked at Nate and said, "You don't say that to me, Piggy." Thank goodness I was at the oven because I almost lost it. Nate put him in timeout and he said "You don't tell me that"...and then whispered "Piggy", again. Oh man that was priceless!
Ethan and I took Lincoln to the doctor today for his well baby check-up. Ethan was amazing at the doctor. Ughh...if he would just be that good all the time. Lincoln got four shots and blood drawn today. When we were leaving I said..."Oh Lincoln has had a tough day." Ethan said, "I know...poor baby!"
Tomorrow I am taking them to get their pictures taken. I took off tomorrow. We need well rested, happy boys for these pictures.

We have had four showings the past few days! Poor Hunter has to ride in the back of the car when someone comes to see the house. Thank goodness Nate has been able to work from the house. Everyone say a little prayer that we get rid of this house!

Well, Happy Cinco de Mayo! Have a good week.
