The last game

Saturday was our last basketball game. Link got the ball a few times and did his best to get it to his team mates.

We are very proud that he started "dribbling!"
Ethan was determined to make a basket this week! He got off three shots unsuccessfully. BUT, in his last quarter he scored! I was so excited watching him that I missed it on video. I did get this video of a miss. We were shocked it didn't go in! I was so happy he scored on his last game!
Frazer church had a great closing ceremony. They had a percussion group that was so fun for everyone! Link danced like a maniac. Before the ceremony started, they threw some large balls into the crowd of kids. It was mayhem! I looked at Nate and said a man definitely came up with this idea!! You can see Ethan right in the middle of it. He is wearing yellow and is number 14.

Baseball

Basketball is finished.  The fellas are getting geared up for baseball.
They even let Daddy play.  They made sure he used the tee.

Packers vs. Steelers

It was the match of the century.  Packers VS. Steelers.  Leaps VS. Gabrielskis.
Unfortunately, there was no clear winner except for me getting them into the car for school!

Writers

Before you ask, NO Lincoln does not have my horrible eyes....yet.  He is wearing his Harry Potter glasses.   He also sat down (on his own) to do some writing.  He wrote hat, sat, and rat!
This smarty pants is his inspiration.  He has decided to write a story on how he became a Ninja.  He is so funny.  Forgive me for bragging on this kiddo, but he came home today and announced that he had passed his multiplication Math Facts in a Flash tests.  Next week, he moves on to division.  The crazy thing is that he did it completely on his own.  These tests are on the computer and you take them at your own pace.  He has some kind of internal motivation to get as far as he can.  I am so proud of this little guy!

Runners

This neighborhood is absolutely fantastic for running, and the weather has been wonderful.  I have been trying my best to become a better runner.  I am actually enjoying it more than I thought I would.  Nate and I have been talking about running a lot lately.  I guess our big guy has gotten the itch as well.
Nate went for a run this afternoon, so the fellas and I went for a bike ride.  As we were finishing up our ride, Nate came by.  Ethan asked him if he wanted to go for a run with him.  So, Nate and Ethan ran the loop outside our house.  It is .6 miles.  He ran the ENTIRE time!  We were so proud of him!

Two things at once

I wore Lincoln out yesterday (unintentionally).  We started the morning off at Pump it Up with the play date friends.  Then, we went to lunch at McDonalds with Greyson.  The boys played a lot there.  Then, we walked to and from the bus stop (one mile round trip.)
The boys had basketball practice last night. I knew Link was going to be exhausted and probably not do his best.  So, I bribed him with a treat!
Of course, he was focused and ready for his treat.  As we pulled into the garage, I told the boys to get to the table and eat their treats that I had set out for them quickly.  Nate (not knowing that I told the boys that) told them to get their clothes off and ready get ready for baths.
I changed for the gym.  Nate turned the bath water on.  As I come out of the bedroom to leave, I see two completely NAKED boys sitting at the kitchen table eating conversation hearts.
At least they followed BOTH directions!

The above picture is Link waving goodbye to Nate this morning!  So sweet!  He is so excited to get three full family days this weekend!

Date swap

We swapped date nights with Aaron and Danielle this weekend.  They were able to go to dinner without Miss Ariana Friday night.  As soon as A &D left, Ethan wanted Ariana all to himself.  He snuggled up with her and held on tight.e
Nate came over and got her smiling and reaching for him.  He was making some goofy faces.  We all got to laughing at him.
Saturday night, Nate and I were able to have a nice (uninterrupted) dinner and movie.  Link was so excited that we were leaving.  He told everyone he saw on Saturday that his parents were going on a date.  We went to see the Descendants.  It was a good movie, but it was not the best date movie.  I used up most of his napkins to dry my tears!
We are definitely going to have to trade more often.

Lincoln's basketball

Link's team had two kiddos out on Saturday. This meant everyone played all but seven minutes of the game. I was a little worried about Link, but he took a seven minute lay down break and was ready to go! Link was paired against a feisty little girl this week! She was fierce! There is a quick clip of her looking at Link. I missed her pointing at him saying, "I'VE GOT YOU!!!!!!" He looked at me and said, "She is MEAN!!!!" It was so funny!

A few weeks ago I noticed that Link only passed the ball to the two girls on the team. This week only one was here. After watching all the videos I took this week, I noticed that he made sure he passed it to Peyton. Notice the THREE times he got the ball he passed it to her!
Lincoln received the defensive star this week! He earned it!
Both of the boys have been blessed with the best coaches! I love both of them. Lincoln's coach is so playful and really tried to make sure each of the kids have a great time!

Ethan's basketball

Ethan has turned into a firecracker on the court.  He is becoming super aggressive and really trying to get the ball more and more.
This week he played his best buddy, Grant's team.  You can see Ethan defending Grant in the video's below.

Happy Valentine's Day

Nuts

Lincoln:  Hey guys!  Nuts and you're driving me nuts are the same word!

Superbowl

Ethan was so excited for the Super Bowl.  Nate and I do not know when he decided to root for the Patriots or why, but he had his little heart set on them winning.  We all talked about how the rest of the family and our guests, Aaron and Danielle, were all pulling for the Giants.  He didn't seem to care.

As the game started, Nate and I were still getting the food ready.  I think I had to ask Ethan to sit down and get away from the TV about fifteen times!

Lincoln was just happy that I had left food out on the table and he could eat as much fruit salad and chips/dips as he wanted!  He did get a little excited when Victor Cruz did his salsa dance.  Link did a little dance for us!
Link was in bed at his usual time of seven.  We let Ethan stay up until eight.  I think that he was ready to go to bed!
We were all a little worried how he might take the loss the next morning, but he handled it well.  He has just been trying to recreate a win for his team on Madden Wii!

Copycat

I walked up on this Saturday at basketball.  They were waiting for the previous game to finish.  Nate dropped to one knee and his copycat did the same!

Austin's B/day

One of Ethan's best buds had his seventh b/day party Saturday. You will never guess where Austin's parents are from! haha!
They had the party at Pump-it-up. Ethan had a basketball game following the party. Let's just say someone was extremely tired Saturday night!

Play date at the zoo

With the weather being fantastic lately, we decided to have our weekly play date at the zoo. The buddies were super excited to see each other.
They were so excited to see each other that they ran and ran and ran. The moms had to keep reminding them to stay with us!!!  Our girl, Anna, wanted to be right in with them!
