First Birthday

Lincoln turned ONE on Sunday. We had a small family party....Ok the Cerminaro's and Van Meter's came, but they are as close as family. Memaw and Pappy were here. Lincoln tried cake for the first time and didn't know what to think. Nate had to feed it to him with a spoon. When he offered him ice cream, he was more excited. He had a great time playing with all the kids. I know it is so cliche but I just can't believe he is already one! Man how time flies.

How little brains work!

As we drove up to daycare today, Ethan yells out, "Mommy, the red balls are over the fence." I notice two red balls on the other side of the playground. Then he says, "We will never be able to get under that fence to get them before those teachers see us." At first I laughed...then I said..."NO--you can't do that. You need to tell Ms. Terry." So, as soon as we walked in, he told Ms. Terry!
He is so darn funny!

Boy, Boy, Boy, and a Mommy

Ethan got the Legos out yesterday and wanted to build a house. I am so not creative with blocks. It must be a boy thing. I found a picture on the box and that's the only one we did. While we were building the house, I noticed Lincoln was content playing beside us with the Legos. I had such a flashback to Josh playing with his Legos for HOURS! It definitely must be a boy thing!
Yesterday afternoon Ethan and I went outside to play. Lincoln has ANOTHER cold....poor baby! Ethan decided he wanted me to throw the ball like Daddy does. Well, if anyone knows me well...I am not the most coordinated person. I threw the ball under the car, into the garage, not close enough, anywhere but to him. It was bad! So, Amy decided to throw to him. He was much happier! :)
I guess I'll just stick to books and puzzles. He did tell Daddy that Mommy does the books the best! :)

Weekly Update

The weather is nice. We have been playing outside everyday. Ethan got a scooter and will go about 50 feet. He's getting a little braver everyday. I have been slowly bringing home stuff from school. I brought a lot of my books home and Ethan is loving reading a new book every night (if you know Ethan this is HUGE---he likes reading the same book over and over.) He is so good at trying to get me to read it "one more time" every night.
Lincoln is refusing to take a nap for longer than thirty minutes at Daycare. He is having way too much fun standing up in his crib watching everyone. He has said about four words (hi, no, dada, and mama). He is pulling up on everything and is starting to cruise on the sofa.
That's our latest news.....only 30 more school days! :)

Laid back and Low key

What a tough week for Lincoln. He barely napped at daycare this week. Friday, he napped for twenty minutes all day. So, when we got home for the night he was exhausted. These pictures were taken while Ethan was in Nate's boots. He didn't move! Lucky for us...he was really pleasant this week.
