Vacation part 1

We started day one of vacation in Williamsburg. We went to Busch Gardens last year and loved it! So, we went made it our first day stop. The Hills are on vacation with us this year. The "boys" are having a great time together.
This guy was seriously occupied on the way down to Williamsburg and to the North Carolina with his Nintendo DS. He is already addicted to his games.
The girls took the little boys back for naps and the big boys stayed and rode the big rides. This was one of Nate's favorites! ha!
This was my favorite picture of the day! Everyone around us was talking about how cute the little boy on the ride was! Adorable!!
We made it to North Carolina today! We can't wait to hit the beach tomorrow!

American History Museum

We took Marilyn to the American History Museum on Monday. This museusm is the boys' favorite as well as mine! The old metro bus is their favorite exhibit.Lincoln loves, loves, loves looking at the ships!
They have an elaborate doll house. We had to actually move him from the dollhouse to go look at other stuff.

This museum also has a few kid-friendly, hands-on exhibits. The boys love going here!
Abraham Lincoln's top hat is here as well. I called Marilyn over and said, "Mar, there's Lincoln's hat." MY Lincoln said, "That's not my hat!" It took me a minute...but I got it! ha!

Fourth of July

We were able to go see the DC fireworks tonight from Nate's office building. We were not able to take photos. So, I took a picture of Marilyn and the boys before we left! I jumped in one!

Woodlawn Plantation

Saturday, we went to Woodlawn Plantation. This is the home of George Washington's step daughter, Nellie. The house is GORGEOUS! The tour was about an hour and very informative. The lawn was so pretty. We went and took some pictures after the tour.

Then, Nate ran with the boys.
They hid behind a tree from Link and he ran to find them.
It didn't take long for Link to find his SWORD.
It also didn't take long for him to poke his brother with the stick.

VBS night # 5

Tonight was the last night of VBS. Everyone was a tired and some of the kids were a little goofy!
I peeked in a Ethan and noticed he did not like to participate in music either.
When I found him snack, he was more than ready to participate!
We let the little guys finish the night at the playground. They were so thrilled!

Trey was the happiest. He had been asking to play on the playground all week. We had a great week! I was so happy to have Nate with me. On the drive home, Nate said, "I could do this every year!" YEAH!!!

Amusement Park and VBS # 4

Early this morning, we headed to Six Flags with Jenn and Aaron. We brought swim clothes for the boys to play on the splash playground. Wouldn't you know Lincoln was the first to hit the water.
Big brother wasn't too far behind. I laughed telling Jenn the story of two summers ago when he wouldn't even get in the water.
Aaron was a little more hesitant. That water was chilly!!
It was also day # four of Vacation Bible School. Ethan smiles the entire time he is there. Everytime I see him he is just grinning!!!
Little bit on the other hand has a different perspective. I have no clue why he is mad, but he is. That's just how he rolls. The funny thing is when we get ready to leave he screams, "I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE!!! NOOOOOO!!!"
This picture was taken in music. Notice Trey standing with his arms to his side. He told him Mom he was not going to dance! Ha!! Also notice my child sitting playing with his cape. By the end of music, pretty much all my threes were laying on the ground or jumping around!
Craft seems to be a favorite for all of my kids!

Tonight is our last night. Nate is beat! I told him he could never do my job! ha!!
The boys are having a great time. I think they will be sad knowing it is the last night, but I think learning that they get to take their capes home will make it just fine!
