Trash Man

Lincoln LOVES his trash man! For some reason we have a different color trash truck each time they come. Lincoln knows almost all of his colors. Check out the sound effects he makes while I ask him what color the trash man (truck) is.

Gravelly Point

Saturday was rainy and yucky. The boys were getting stir crazy. The weather was gorgeous today, so we took a picnic lunch to Gravelly Point. It's a few hundred feet from the runway at Reagan National Airport. The planes literally fly right above your head!

Notice the shadow of the airplane wing on the boys.
It was LOUD. Ethan always covered his ears, and Lincoln yelled, "LOUD."
On one side was the airport and on the other was the Washington Monument, the Potomac River, and the Capitol.
We think Lincoln was helping to land the planes.
We took last summer's shoot planes. Those planes have seen better days, but they were a hit nonetheless.

We knew it was time to come home when Lincoln fell in the only mud puddle.

Japanese Steakhouse

Tonight, we decided to go to Hana Tokyo for hibachi. They brought soup and salad first. Lincoln LOVED the soup and tried quite a bit of the salad.
When Ethan learned that there would be lots of FIRE at our table, he sort of freaked out. He moved to my lap. I got him to relax a little bit by telling him he could take a picture of the cook. This is his picture.
They brought chop sticks over to the table and offered "kid chopsticks" to the boys. They are basically rubber banded up. The boys did phenomenally great with them. I told Nate that they must take after him because I can not use chopsticks.
The boys LOVED their food. They each ate shrimp and chicken. They almost finished their rice. This place was so much fun! I can't wait to go back with them.

Banner over me is love.

Ethan woke up singing this song and didn't stop! Before bed, I asked him if he would sing it for me on the camera. He usually says no, but today he agreed. The words to the song are:
Jesus is the rock on my Salvation. His banner over me is love.
I love how his signs are off!

SIT STILL, LINKY!

The boys had thirty minutes to watch a movie before bathtime. They chose Cars, a favorite for both of them. Ethan took his usual spot in the corner of the couch, and stayed there the entire time. Link just couldn't make up his mind where he wanted to sit.

Flower Picking

These weeds will soon be gone. Ms. Cat, our neighbor, is putting in new sod! In the meantime, the boys love picking her "flowers."
