Date night
Nate and I found a babysitter on sittercity.com this week. We tried her out Friday night so that Nate and I could go out! Her name is Mandi and she is going to school in the fall to be a Speech/Language Pathologist. How bad can she be, right! She was great! The fellas had a great time!
They enjoyed a bath and waffles for dinner before she got here! I didn't think the order very well. That's why Link is wearing a bib!
Nate and I went to a seafood restaurant and got cupcakes in Georgetown. We were done by 8:00 but too embarrassed to go home that early. We are getting so old. We ended up at Dick's getting some running shorts for Nate!

Fishing
One of the kids at Ethan's school went fishing with his Dad last week. Ever since then, Ethan has been talking about Nate taking him fishing. Nate got the boys fishing poles, and we went fishing today.
We are going to chalk this one up to a "practice" run. We had to find our own worms and one of our reels bummed out on us. We had a few bites, but no fish!
Lincoln held the rod for about ten seconds and then started finding sticks and rocks to throw in the water. I don't think he helped our effort.

AIR SHOW!!!!
I MAY HAVE TO SHOUT THE ENTIRE POST BECAUSE MY HEARING MAY BE PERMANTELY IMPAIRED. THE AIR SHOW WAS SUPER DUPER LOUD!!!!
Lincoln could of cared less. He was more interested in what battles Obi-Wan and the Storm trouper were fighting.
Aaron was a trouper today! He was up LATE for naps and didn't even fuss while we were there.I did not put enough sunscreen on this fair boy. His cheeks and neck are so burned!

Fun in the Sun
We spent a lot of time with the Hills out in the sun! Friday we went to a playground that had a great sandbox. Aaron and Ethan enjoyed the seesaw.
Lincoln spent almost all of the time in the sand box. I barely got this shot of him.
Saturday we took our first visit of the season to Six Flags Amusement Park. The Hills joined us and got season passes as well! I can't wait until Nate comes home and we can go again!Today, Justin cooked us Mother's Day brunch. It was delicious!!!

The art of present opening.
This year he made it through all the gifts! I am wondering if it was because he opened the gifts around nap time! He may have been too tired to run around playing with them! Regardless of the reason, I'll take it!

Sucking on her toes!
When I found out that Marsha and Bob were staying until Sunday night, I asked Jenn if she wanted to do church, lunch, and fish pedicures. She said yes and then told me yesterday she had a nightmare that the fish were in a muddy pond and were eating her toes!
This blog really needs audio! I wish you could hear the giggly squeals coming from Jennifer! I had no idea she was so ticklish!
She kept looking at the timer anxiously awaiting for it to be over. BUT...the best part came when she said....I should bring my mother! HA!

Pirate Pegleg Lincoln's b/day party!
I can't say that the party went off without a hitch. We planned on having the party at the local playground, but someone had claimed the playground before we did! SO, we moved the party to our house and our neighborhood playground.
The kids had pirate hats, swords, eye patches and a map! I made the boys pirate shirts! Lincoln went into pirate mode quickly!
Ethan decided he would rather play soccer!
It was super hot out so, we headed inside for pizza and cake! This cake was amazing! Some people actually thought it was a toy!
Lincoln loved it!
