From BabyCenter...your child (or children)

The 16 month old toddler:
You've seen your child testing his independence during the last few weeks and months, but experts say that once a child can talk he knows, finally, that he is his own person. Your 16-month-old may be able to say as many as seven words — or even more — clearly. But he will still rely mostly on nonverbal communication, pointing and gesturing to tell you what he wants or what he wants you to see.
The 3 3/4 year old Preschooler:
What sounds like nonsense coming from your preschooler's lips is actually a sophisticated kind of language experimentation. He might call his little brother a "pootie" or say, "Look at that prettyful flower." He may call a fountain a "crash water," an invented term that's really pretty clear. These creative concoctions crop up more often as he develops better language skills.

Nate looks so relaxed in the previous post! Ethan and Lincoln are getting so big! Thought a lot about you guys tonight. We had a wind warning and man was it windy. Siding off a lot of houses and tile off many roofs. Trees down...pretty messy and a lot of damage around the neighborhood. Susan and Terry's swing set blew over and I think it is pretty much done!

So, I went inside and began baking pumpkin bread and took some to all the neighbors. It is some serious Leap withdrawl! I was ready to break out the Leap cookie sheet and run some cookies and pumpkin bread over to all of you! Ughhhh!

Hug the boys for us! We will have to check what you all are doing for Christmas. We may have off the Sunday between Christmas and New Year's and if we do we were thinking of coming to the area!

Remember...the Thanksgiving invite is still out there!
