Paris at Christmas Day 3

We slept late and had a huge breakfast on day three!
We needed it to hike up the hill to see Sacre Coeur.

We had a great view of the Eiffel Tower.
Sacre Coeur is in the Monmarte area.  This is the artist area of Paris!
We metroed down to go to the Champs Elysees Christmas Market.
I thought this was a real moose until I got over to take the picture.

More waffles and this time a crepe to go along with it!
There were just a few people out shopping!

We made it to the other end of the Champs and headed to see the Eiffel Tower at night!
I had some jumpy happy fools!

We found a playground near the tower and the boys had a blast playing for awhile!
Finally the lights started twinkling.  We found a quick place for dinner and headed back to the hotel.

Paris for Christmas Day 2

We had Musee D'Orsay on our itinerary for day two of our trip.
The interior of the museum was beautiful!  The art in this museum was so impressive!  Van Gogh, Renoir, Monet, Matisse.  It was so surreal seeing the art you see in books!!!
This clock was massive and gorgeous!
Nate was peeking at Sacre Coeur out the clock window.
This view was from the window near the clock.
 Beautiful Paris views!
Lincoln said, "Why are there all the locks on this bridge?"
We saw a playground near the Champs Elysees and decided to let the fellas get some energy out!

We stopped at the Place des Voges.  It's a bunch of mansions over an arcade.
The tour book made it appear more impressive than it actually was.
They did have a playground for the boys though!
We decided to finish the day off visiting La Defense.  We had never been that way out of Paris.
It was very modern and had tons of shopping!  They had a big Christmas Market set up.
This was the oddest market I had ever seen!  WIGS????
 Foie Gras
 Flexible napkin holders.
 Yummy cheese
We all enjoyed a waffle after dinner.
I don't think we could have packed one more thing into day two!

Paris for Christmas

We took the train into Paris on Saturday.
This was the boy's third trip and our fourth trip to Paris.  We decided to take the boys to some places they had never been.  Our first stop was Invalides.
 They both loved the armory.
 TOO HEAVY!
Napolean's tomb.
The Rodin Museum in next door.  None of had been in the museum.  You can see the top of the Thinker has you go by.  It was nice to see him in all his glory!

I love this picture.  Invalides, the Thinker, and the Eiffel Tower over the Thinker's shoulder!

Christmas Party

The boys had their Christmas parties today!
Lincoln's class had breakfast for lunch.
Lincoln filled his plate up!
The kid's gathered around Ms. Richardson as she opened her gifts.
Next, the kid's had a book exchange.  They passed their presents around like musical chairs.
They were SOOO excited to open their books!
The High School Band came over and played carols in the hallway.

Ethan's teacher, Mr. Conrad, had the class plan their own party.  The table was FULL of sugary treats!  In fact, Ethan said he ate three donuts, one brownie, two cookies, and a bowl of ice cream.  Needless to say, his belly hurt all afternoon!  I snuck in for a quick picture.  He stopped for two seconds and smiled at me and then was DONE!
They had a blast, but we are all so happy to have a couple weeks together!
