Speyer Technik Museum

I met a new friend a few weeks ago and since all the boys had the day off today, we went to Speyer and visited the Tecnik Museum.  This was a little boys HEAVEN!  The first thing we did was go up into a 747 and slide down!  Ethan was a little scared and opted out of the slide.
Lincoln kept going back for more!
Almost everything was interactive.  Ethan loved the planes and helicopters
There was no surprise that Lincoln loved the boats!
I think that the submarine was my favorite!
One of the best things about this museum was there NO one else there.
The boys had the submarine all to themselves.  They played forever!
 Look at that big smile!!!

Ya think he might be a little bit nautical???
 Pirate face!
We almost missed the entire space hanger.  We were WORN out after being here for over four hours, but I am glad we stopped by to see the Russian Space Ship.
I may have said, "Russian Space Station" a few times!
This museum was awesome!  I can see going here on a yucky day to get some energy out of these fellas!

He's READING!!!

My baby boy is READING!  I am so excited!  Check out the video of him reading a book that he got from the library just today!  He had read it once before to me and this was the second time to Daddy.  After the video, he asked if we wanted to hear him count to 100.  Last time I checked, he could count to about 30.  Sure enough, he counted all the way to 100.  We were all SHOCKED.  He said, "Yeah I practiced today while I was pooping on the potty."
I let this crazy boy make chocolate milk for dinner tonight.  He was sweet and decided to make it for his brother too!  After about ten scoops of Ovaltine, I told him that was enough.   At dinner, Ethan took a sip and said, "WOAH! This is chocolatey!"

Luxembourg

We visited a new country today!  Luxembourg is only about an hour and half away from us.

Neither of us had any idea that Luxembourg City was built in 963 and was a medieval town.
It was gorgeous.
This was an actual rode that you drive on!  Our Volvo barely cleared the entrance.
I guess in 963 this was for horses or people on feet!
I recently read The Expats and wanted to see the Grand Palais.
This gorgeous building was in the middle of some swanky shopping!
We also stopped at the Luxembourg American Cemetery.
It was cold so the boys took off running to warm up.
Happy Veterans Day!
There were lots of Americans at the cemetery and they were all waiting to get a peek at Patton's grave.
I didn't even notice that Lincoln was saluting until I loaded the pictures on the computer.  He is a stinker.  We decided to stop at a gas station for some sandwiches.  Its really funny but gas station food in Europe is good!  We sat in the parking lot at the cemetery and ate while a couple next to us made out forever in their car!  We laughed as we got home this afternoon that we only spent 15 euro all day!

Staying up late

Link was cranky, sleepy, and a little pest today!  He ended up having to go to bed about 20 minutes early tonight!  That meant that Ethan got to snuggle up on the couch with both of us tonight!  When Nate asked him if he enjoyed staying up by him self, he replied
"Yeah I need a break from Lincoln every now and again!"

Little Baker

Ethan had PE club today Lincoln and I spent the afternoon baking and reading.  Lincoln was reading!  Lots and lots and lots of books!  I am so thrilled!!!
We made chocolate chip pumpkin bars.   Notice how his mouth is open.
He was telling me how to spread the batter out.
He HAD to taste it to make sure it was ok.
Finished product!  They were sooo yummy!  We have plenty for breakfast tomorrow too!  I could also eat those baby blue eyes up!!!

Deep

This past week, Lincoln has been really thinking deeply about things being "unfair!"  He was upset with me last weekend and told me that he was not going to visit me when he gets older and he won't let his kids visit me either.  He changed his tune when I told him that I was going to keep his presents at my house and he had to come get them!
On Sunday, we bought groceries together and I didn't let him get a can of soup (we have ten cans of soup at home).  Three days later he says to me that when he is a grown-up he is going to let his kids pick out their own soup!  This came from out of the blue.  He must have been really upset about that soup!
Don't get me wrong, I love that he thinks about things being fair!  I love that he has such a caring heart, but he also knows how to get you where it hurts!!!
