Pappy Lynch Funeral

We left for Pennsylvania on Monday, following Nate's graduation.  As soon as we arrived on Tuesday, we learned that Nate's Pap was in the hospital and not doing very well.  Nate and his mother were able to spend all of Wednesday with Pappy Lynch.  He recognized Nate and was able to do a little bit of writing with him.   On Thursday, June 14th, Pappy Lynch passed away.
Memaw had a very hard time dividing her time.  I know that her Catholic guilt got the best of her.  She wanted to spend time with her fellas but knew that she needed to be spending time at the hospital and then spending time getting ready for the funeral.  I think she did a pretty darn good job!
The little guys spent a lot of time this week visiting with Nan!  While we were at the funeral home, Ethan drew her a portrait of herself.
Following the funeral, we went outside and took some pictures.  The last time we had a picture with just the brothers Lincoln was 18 months old.   Since we didn't plan on the funeral, we didn't have funeral clothes with us.  Nate only had his service dress from the graduation.  I know he didn't want to wear it, but I know that Pappy wouldn't have had it any other way!
Although we wish there had been different circumstances, it was nice having the whole family together to celebrate Pappy Lynch's life!  This funeral was especially hard on Nate and I this week.  He passed away on our anniversary.  Nate teared up a few times he looked at Nan.  He told me that there was no doubt that those two loved each other deeply.  They were definitely best friends!

Last days in Bama

On our last two days, we spent some time watching movies with friends.
We played COOL MATH with our buddies on our Macs.
We ate snacks in our Daddy's flight rooms while they were graduating!
After all that fun, we were excited to spend the night in a hotel.

Playground

Because our house is completely empty and you can only watch so many movies on the computer, we took the family to the playground before it started pouring today!
We all got in on the fun today.
 This guy can multi-task!
 Family rope climbing!
The sprinkles got heavier and we were worried the we were about to get soaked, so we took off. As we left the park, I decided to get a photo with the boys and Marilyn.  This photo should come with sound.  Link is moaning in agony because we had to leave!

School's Out For Summer

Ethan's last day of First Grade was today!  We were able to stop by and check him out for early dismissal.
The class was having lunch outside.  Grant and Ethan gave them all hugs and we
headed to Nancy's for Italian Ice.

The little guys were super excited to have the big boys with them for the afternoon.
We hit the pool for some relaxing time!

Today was my last day alone with my sweet little buddy!

Today was Nate's last day of school, too!  He was able to meet us at the pool for some fun.
We WORE these guys out today!

Homeschoolers

Jessica found out about a Homeschool group time at the local gymnastics gym.  So, for all intents and purposes, Link and Grey were Homeschoolers today!
For a measly six dollars, the boys were able to have a gym class for an hour today.
Jessica told me that Link told her that he really didn't want to go.  But about two minutes into it, you could tell he was having blast!
 The buddies were jumping FOOLS!
This was so cool!  They both ran and jumped into the pit over and over!  Of course, as we left, Link says that he wants to go back again.  Why couldn't we have found this place months ago?

Linkisms

Marilyn:  Link, what kind of pet would you like?
Link:  I would like a puppy.  I want a puppy that grows up to be a bulldog.
Marilyn:  NO, you don't!!!!
Link:  Mar, you don't know my life.

Link:  Daddy, did you know that the nose is the kitchen to my mind and the eyes are the living room to my mind?
Nate:  Oh.....ok.

He's A Maniac

This maniac has pumped up his craziness since Marilyn arrived.  As she was reading in her room today, he kept running in there and flicking the lights on and off.  Then, he would lock her door and later try to get back in.
At lunch, he rolled his bread into balls and then dipped them into water.
He is driving me CRAZY!  I think we need to do something to wear that stinker out tomorrow!!!
