Nate has off on Thursdays, so the boys are able to chat with him during breakfast. They had lots to say this morning.
We are heading to Memaws tomorrow and they had to tell Daddy everything they were going to do and everything they were going to take.

A package from Daddy
When we arrived at home today, we found a package from Daddy! He sent each of the boys a Steeler hat. There was also one in there for when he arrives home!
We had an extra special night tonight. The weather was amazing and we played outside!
Our neighbor, Ms. Cat, invited us over for dinner tonight! For dessert, she made homemade donuts! She also gave the boys a bubble bath in her bathtub. The bubbles were up to their ears! When I tucked them into bed, they were grinning ear to ear! They had a blast tonight!

Mar's Visit
We had ten full days with Marilyn! The kiddos played and played. I think she and Lincoln put the pirate puzzle together 400 times! Lincoln was not a happy camper when she left today. On the way home from the airport, he said "I want Mar to come back because I wuv her." Luckily, she is coming back in a few weeks.
We didn't take a WHOLE lot of pictures....maybe because the children wouldn't cooperate.

Perks
Another perk of having Marilyn here is that I actually get in some photos. There is hope that my children will remember what their mother looked like when they were young!
I didn't even know that she took this photo, but I like it!
So, I guess we have gone a little crazy on our playground adventures. Today, we drove 45 minutes to a playground in Germantown, MD. It had a castle and a PIRATE SHIP!!! Yes, a pirate ship!!
I got a work out chasing Link around. The playground was primarily wood and had lots of ladders. The little man needed lots of help!
The day wouldn't have been complete without me being surrounded by three and four year olds. I felt like I was at work. It was good for the E and Link. Link got a little jealous, but ended up playing with a little boy for a while. Besides going to church, I think we will stick closer to home tomorrow!

Boys Club
The weather has been gorgeous and we have taken advantage of it by going to the playground! I took them last week and Marilyn took them yesterday. They have been asking to leave when anyone else comes near them to play! Today we spent the morning at the playground with Aaron. I guess he is a member of their exclusive club! We took our sand toys and I dumped them in the sand. A little girl came over and looked a few toys and I said, "You can play with them." A few minutes later Ethan came over and said, "THAT GIRL is playing with OUR toys!" I just smiled and said..."I know...I told her she could." I wish you could have seen his look. I guess we need to spend more time with other kids! HA!
This is a little bit of Lincoln torture!

I love a good buzz cut!
It's been a full EIGHT weeks since the boys have had haircuts. Ethan started squirming towards the end of his haircut. The lady that cuts his hair patted him on the shoulder and whispered, "Don't worry honey. It's your Mommy's fault for waiting so long!" HA!
Lincoln sat like a little statue! He loves getting his haircut. I think it's because they love him and show it!
I promise I won't wait so long next time.

The stars aligned
On our way to the car from the circus yesterday the stars must have been in alignment. The children decided that would treat me to a little photoshoot. They were actually posing and then saying, "Mom take my picture!" It was CRAZINESS...I TELL YOU!
I could not have paid for better pictures! They were amazing. The boys have actually been so good the past two weeks. Yesterday was just a little treat for all of us!

Big Apple Circus
I took off today to take the boys to the Big Apple Circus.
The kids woke up screaming, "LET'S GO!!" I had to prep them that there would probably not be any elephants or bears. By the time it started they were so excited for the clowns!
HEY...LOOK....there's a horse. It will have to do. Sorry no elephants!
They got really excited when two more came out!
By the time these contortionist got on stage, my boys were sweltering. I have no clue why the big top was so hot. I swear it was almost 100 degrees in there. Everyone was sweating and Lincoln actually layed down on the ground. I guess it was cooler down there. Once we got out into the cool air, they both started smiling again and told me they loved it!
We decided to walk back to the car instead of taking the shuttle bus. I was so excited that we did because the boys let me take pictures of them on the way back. I got some amazing shots of them. I will share them tomorrow!

Scalawags!
One special little thing that I have been doing since Daddy has been gone is super long baths! They love playing in the bathtub. I mean LOVE IT!!!! I was playing around on Amazon last week and I found these pirate bath toys. They were on the front porch when we got home. I opened them as soon as we got inside and they played with them until bath time! I have to say....they were a hit!

Thief
Don't they look guilty? WELL...they ARE!
Jenn had us over for dinner tonight. For dessert, she made ginger cookies. They were good! They were so good that I found Ethan sneaking a second one. He then gave Lincoln a second one. I quickly told them no more. Quick sneaking!
We get into the car to go home and Ethan giggles and says, "Mommy, I got another one. They were so delicious!"

Sooooweeeee
I have two moments in time to share!
#1. Ethan gets mad at Lincoln and hits him. Lincoln cries. Ethan goes to Link and says, "Sorry." Then, he gives him a kiss. Lincolns says, "It ok."
#2. (approximately five minutes later) Lincoln gets mad at Ethan and hits him. Ethan cries. Lincoln goes to Ethan and says, "Sooooweeeeee." Then, he pats him softly on the arm. Ethan says, "Sorry is NOT going to make my hurt go away, Lincoln!"
